RE CAB. de VILLE FOR INDIA AT BARKER'S

You will have seen from a copy of a letter that we are able to modify the body for this chassis to accommodate the revised "W" type of steering in which the wheel is two inches nearer to the dashboard. So far we have given the reason for this change as being to suit a specially short driver who will use the car.

We have considered at some length what will happen when they discover that the pedals are also moved forward as this is a feature they have wanted for some while. In view of the rather large number of stock bodies which they carry they will at once start to worry "us" as to when this is likely to be introduced as standard.

We have, however decided that if you agree we will risk coming up against the Secrecy Scheme but will take precautions to prevent a stampede. If you will let EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} know exactly when the chassis arrives at their works he will be there when they make the discovery and will see that they understand that this is purely a special case built to your requirements in which case Sales may not get the news for some time to come.

Will you kindly let us know by return what you think of this and what you propose to do.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}
