X.4264 Extract from R7/M/30.12.21. X.4219. (5) STEERING COLUMN X.4264 We anticipate "D" steering will require a steady, and for a perfectly safe policy I think it will be necessary to steady this from the instrument board as well as the two supports already arranged. The steering column of larger diameter should be proceeded with and in the case of "D" steering, in conjunction with the instrument board support. This latter can be a very simple affair held on the back of the board by two small bolts and gripping the column by means of a split clip. Mr. Day's department will forward a scheme for this. Do not forget that "D" steering column will require lengthening. R. {Sir Henry Royce} | ||
