Honeyman - Retail orders}1/EWS.12.23 re above, there are three points which I think require qualifying in this report:- 1. You state that EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} got 70 m.p.h. out of the car. This speed was obtained under favourable conditions, i.e. running slightly down hill. In the opposite direction, 55 m.p.h. only was obtained. 2. The petrol consumption was 15 m.p.g. average over the whole 10,000 miles. 3. I do not agree that the sphere universal joint was satisfactory, but showed distinct signs of the pins gauling in the bushes, as though short of lubricant at this spot. EP{G.
