My attention has repeatedly been drawn to the unsightliness of the silencer snouts on both 40/50 H.P. and 20 H.P. R.R. cars when same have been exposed to the weather and become coated with rust. The back view of an otherwise smart car is marred by these snouts and I would like to suggest that some means be taken to obviate this trouble either by using rustless steel, or plating, or coslettising, or by some means with which you may be familiar.
