X 3485 EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 5.5.24. WA. {Mr Wallis} 28. CHEMICAL LEAK FOR UTILITY TESTS ON MAGNETO AND BATTERY IGNITION. After considerable experimental work the conductance of the above has been fixed at a suitable figure. This is (see PB.85) 4 micromhos at a temperature of 20oC. As the conductance varies considerably with small changes of temperature, observations were made of the increase in resistance per degree centigrade with a view to arriving at a suitable average figure, for temperature correction. The observations were as follows :- 16oC 3.1 micromhos. 17 3.4 18 3.6 19 3.8 20 4.0 21 4.35 22 4.7 23 5.1 This gives an average variation of conductance per degree Centigrade of .28 micromhos.
