X788 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}1/AJ.19.8.30. With reference to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}4/B1.7.30. We presume that the report to which you refer is the third Brooklands report in which the Phantom ll is compared with various American cars. During these tests the Phantom ll was run in the best known condition i.e. with the new type canvass rubber fan belt and bonnet shutters open, mixture conditions being normal. The reason the bonnet shutters were open is because all of the American cars have bonnet ventilation of some sort or other. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
