Dear Sirs, In connection with the return of Regulator and Cutout unit, our No: LT.1484, and marked by you R.R.III; we have now received this unit. In your letter of the 2nd. instant, you state that it was returned to Lucas,Birmingham, on April 21st, by Parcel post. We never received it here, and later you reported having received it back again in your works. Thorough investigation has been made, and we find that your people despatched this unit to Lucas,Acton Service Depot, in London, who apparently gave it a test, re-set it, and returned it to you. This is of course very unfortunate, as we have repremanded our people here, very strongly for presuming that the Box had been received here and returned by them without passing it on the Department for whom it was intended. We are now passing this unit on to the Laboratory in order that they may examine it thoroughly in accordance with your remarks contained in your letter of the 14th.April. May we request that should you have occasion to return any further units to this department, to be sure to have them marked very clearly for the attention of the undersigned. Yours faithfully, JOSEPH LUCAS LIMITED. Technical Sales Dept. | ||
