Dear Sirs,

The writer wishes to thank you for giving him so much of your time on Friday last for the purpose of discussing jacking matters and in particular a design for incorporating the D.W.S. Portable Hydraulic Jack on the four corners of a proposed new car.

We think the arrangement as shown on the drawings is very good, but we should like to see a longer shank on the jack bracket which locates in the eye section of the chassis bracket as there is a considerable strain imposed at this point, particularly if the car tends to move off the jack should the brakes not be fully applied.

We trust you will excuse us for again raising the matter of hydraulic axle fitted jacks in connection with this car, but we do feel that our new product which will shortly be available for some of our special customers, offers a sufficient reduction in weight and will increase the efficiency enough to make it a serious consideration on a car such as the Bentley or its successor. We would ask, therefore, that you give this very serious thought from all points of view.
