A.R. Coil (LOP. D.73673).
This coil is good electrically. A quantity of oil was found in the H.T. chimney for the H.T. lead. This has softened the rubber of the cable and thus prevented the Ezetite spring clip fastening properly on to the cable. A modification to the engine rocker case has been issued which will prevent further trouble from this source.
Total mileage 6,800.

Delco coil.
This coil is good electrically.
Total mileage 14,000.

Ballast Resistance (LOP. DW.296).
This ballast is of 22 SWG Glowray and is in good condition. This was not required when using the Delco-coil.

Starter Motor. (LOP's DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1077, 306 and DE.203 and 198.
This was standard production except for the end cover, which was of the cheapened Sraith type. During the period it was on this car, it fell off several times, each time the fixing screw was lost. When removed from the car, the end of the cover had been forced in, in order that the fixing screw could be sufficiently tightened.

Starter Drive. (LOP. DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1070.)
This had a special shortened length of thread in the operating bush to D.55014. On examination the drive was found to be in perfect condition.

Switch Box. (LOP.DE.197.)
The pigtail on the carbon contact of the starter push button had broken. This was one of the original short pigtails. The longer pigtails now on production do not give this trouble. Switch otherwise satisfactory.

Starter Main Switch (LOP. D.100208).
This is the standard production switch as used on R.R. and Bentley cars. Condition very good.
