contd :- -3- speeds of our present power units, for the time being at any rate, there does not seem to be any reason for departing from the present slipper wheel and drive which is simpler than the 1-G-1 type and deals equally well with the harmonics. It is almost certain, however, that this reduced inertia type of damper will be required in the future when we have raised our engine speeds 20% or so; we should therefore appreciate any modifications that you may think necessary as a result of our tests.
