HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M20.8.29. XY480 XS300. With reference to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/MJ17829., the idea of leaving the clutch trunnion out of the central lubrication was that the thrust bearing was made oil retaining, and would require very little attention. This was shewn on NSH 2616 where the standard 20HP. thrust bearing is modified to be in accordance with SS.{S. Smith} practice. We understand from your note that this has been tried and found not to be successful. Under the circumstances we will shortly send you a nozzle for the 20HP. similar to that on SS.{S. Smith} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
