Since the report of May 29th. the car has run as follows:-

On May 29th. 385 miles.
" May 30th. 247 miles.
" May 31st. 132 "
" June 1st. 408 "
" June 2nd. 366 "
" June 3rd. 426 "
Previous mileage since Derby 9250 "

Total miles since leaving Derby. 11184 " - up to and including 3rd.June.

We are today oiling, greasing and adjusting the car generally, and preparing for leaving this place. We start tomorrow morning for the hills probably Grenoble way. I will let you know my address as soon as possible. Any materials which you wish to send can be sent to Paris to be forwarded on to me when I have an address.

We fitted the C.A.V. Dynamo on 31st.May and it gave out on 2nd. June after about 500 miles running. It appears to have been very hot and the leads of the various wires have drooped until some of them have rubbed off the insulation on the armature wires. We may be able to patch it up again but so far have not had time to take it to pieces. It would be wise to prepare another dynamo. I am afraid that the dynamo will have to withstand a very high temperature in its present
