ROY{Sir Henry Royce} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X719 BY/Cgh{W Clough}3/G.4.9.29. With reference to the sample clutch disc submitted by the Ferodo Company which they designate as 'R.A.D. Type", we would suggest that you obtain two discs produced in this material suitable for our 40/50 HP. clutch, so that the Experimental Department can test same out, as we do find that the present discs increase considerably in diameter after they have been pressed. The Works are having to press these discs owing to the fact that they are not perfectly flat, and the thickness varies considerably as received from the makers. It would appear that the new material will obviate these difficulties. BY/Cgh.{W Clough} | ||
