HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/AP.28.1.38 CHASSIS OIL PUMPS. The Repair Dept. have complained of frequent cases of wear of oil pump spindles. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} suggests this is due to the use of nickel steel and wishes us to build up a pump with one gear in nickel steel and the other in .45 Carbon Steel. A Rig Test will quickly show whether the carbon steel is an improvement. Will you please carry out this experiment. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
