PEREGRINE BUMPER.

CONNECTION BETWEEN PEDAL SHAFT AND CRANKCASE.

We have run a's temporary scheme LeC.3195 for the above, and the link broke after 17 hours. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has since modified LeC.3195 to bring it as near as possible to N.Sch.3537 for use with Peregrine chassis No's 2 and 3.

The fundamental difference now between LeC.3195 and N.S.3537 is the boss on the clutch-case. The boss on the clutch-case has considerable overhang; we consider in view of the failure of the original LeC.3195 it will be necessary to test the complete N.Sch.3537 modified to N.S.3541 on the bumper chassis.

As we shall shortly be ready for the bumper chassis to come into the shop to have the new front axle and other parts already specified fitted, will you please arrange for the necessary parts to be produced so that N.S.3527 can be fitted whilst the chassis is in the shop.
