RE. 7-GOSHAWK - MAYTHORN SALOON X.3730.

The saloon body on 7.Goshawk made by Maythorns is of an extremely useful type for such people as we are, and I believe a further effort should be made to get this type of body satisfactory in silence and weight.

In addition to the enormous weight of the specimen here referred to, there is the very objectionable feature that you cannot get into the body - either the front or back seats - without considerable discomfort and climbing.

We do not think the front seats are of the best type and we are sure that the dimensions are unnecessarily great both the length fore and aft of the seat and the height of the back. These seats should be instantly destroyed or altered as they are suggesting that the Goshawk is not big enough for a body of this type, whereas we find little 10.HP cars with body space vastly smaller fitted with this type of body which is very popular with owner drivers and lady drivers.

In the foregoing instance the cushions in RG{Mr Rowledge}'s opinion were much too unstable, and which we all agree one could roll about on much too easily, which is not pleasant for driving a car.

Since writing the above I heard hurry was the excuse but I now quite understand that we have not let the makers have it back to put right, which they are willing to do.
