ORIGINAL

BENSPORT CLUTCH OPERATION.

Referring to LeC. 3401. - layout of the clutch and brake pedals - the comment we should like to make is that the direction of the thrust of the clutch operating levers is such as to rock the engine about its rubber mountings, which we should have thought would be the cause of jaggers.

We see that it is difficult to get out of this but suggest that if the trouble is found to be a serious one the levers might be pointed downwards, when the ratio would remain as now, but the thrust of the operation would be parallel to the transmission, instead of at R.{Sir Henry Royce} A.{Mr Adams} to it.

We think that the brake operating lever immediate-ly below can be cleared by suitably side stepping the clutch operating levers.
