RE. AMERICAN PRACTICE.-PISTON RING STOPS. X741 x8666

With reference to your R3/H28.11.22, Springfield

are now fixing piston ring stops as per our standard

design, and have been doing so for some time.

They experienced trouble with over-oiling,

which trouble they pointed out was overcome by reverting

to the old practice of fixing the stops.
