Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X4260 Hsl/LG9.1.22. RIVETING GOSHAWK FRAMES. X4260 The latest chassis we are getting ready for the Bump Test, we have had the dumb irons riveted in by Mr. Probert. We do not consider we are making nearly a good enough job yet of riveting. We feel that if riveting is to be adopted on the chassis, we ought to get for the bump test parts riveted as they will be on production. We suggest that the Drop Forge carry out a series of experiments with riveting on some scrap pieces so that they can gain experience. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
