To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} (Chateauroux) from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 300a Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}1/AP.31.7.37 32-EX. With regard to the two 1.B.A. screws which broke on the Lucas W.T.13 Horn. In looking into this matter we find these screws are not standard. Those fitted to production cars have half-round heads. We cannot trace how the cheese headed screws which broke came to be fitted. You might let us know whether the other horn on the car has the same type of screw. The breakage of the screws in our opinion has been due to them becoming slack and vibrating, causing fractures. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
