To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} C. to S. for C. C. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 48770 SECRET. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}6/W27.2.25. Re Trials Cars with E.A.C. Engines. Reference Experimental Report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG26.2.25. From this Report it will be seen that there are nine alterations which it will no doubt be considered necessary to incorporate in the conversion of the Trials Cars. There is an additional item in the fabric coupling, and alteration to Starter mechanism. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} are coming to W. next Tuesday when it is anticipated a settlement will be arrived at as to how far these modifications will apply to "V" Series. As S. are anxious that we should get material for the conversion of the Open Touring, and Hooper Landaulet Trials cars in addition to the Barker Landaulet, it may be considered advisable when ordering any new parts for Experimental cars to add three or four sets which could be fitted to the Trials cars as soon as the necessary sanction is obtained. This should help to get the modified Trials cars on the road without undue delay. These alterations may affect the time we shall require to convert the Trials cars, but apparently nothing P.T.O. | ||
