With reference to yours of the 16th.inst. We do not think that the body will interfere with the top plate in any way on the three air lines. Attached is a sketch shewing the position at this point. As the top of the K.S. tank unit cannot now match our filter unit it would seem advisable to reduce the angle between the various nipples as this would probably simplify the top plate required. We do not think there would be any objection to your making the angles anything you like. With all our various coachbuilders, the angle of the instrument board does vary between 5º and 10º. We cannot ourselves say that a variation of 5º in the angle of this dash unit could make a difference of more than 1 1/2% in the height of the column of liquid, and therefore should like to know why you are so emphatic on this subject as doubtless you have some very good reason for insisting that you should know the dashboard angle exactly.
