PHANTOM 2. HYPOID AXLE.

Herewith we send N. sch. 2991. shewing the application of the screwed backing nut to the Phantom 2. hypoid pinion thrust bearing.

Mr. Royce wishes that the space between the bearing and the cover should be practically filled by the nut which is selected so that should the whole thread wear away there is still a reasonable clearance.
