We hand you herewith the centre portion of a backing light switch taken from a L.H. chassis. You will notice the points are very badly oxidized, and failure occurred.

Will you please investigate this as early as possible, as we have cars nearly ready for despatch in the Test Dept. and in the meantime will Mr Brock please supply to the Test Dept. a new centre portion, the tungsten contact points which should be replaced by gold silvered points such as we use on the cut-out.

Will Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} please give this switch special trial and examination, to see whether the change in material assists the job in any way.
