Contd. -3- EPC1/T2.11.21. Attached is a photostat of curves of output obtained on this machine from which it will be seen that the specified performance is readily obtained, although in comparison with the Lucas, the cutting in speed is not quite as great. Now that all the dynamos have been through the tests, we must send you comparison of the fully hot outputs of the various machines on one sheet. The output of the machine did not seem to suffer materially from variation of third brush contact. On the contrary, this machine, of third brush machines, appears to be the most consistent in output of any we have tested. It is considered that the C.A.V. and Lucas machines, both motors and dynamos, are suitable for comparative trial on the Goshawk chassis and it is proposed that 3 sets of each be put on the six Goshawk chassis now being put through the works.
