We have received from the above customer 2 - 2 volt Cells, faulty, ex. an Exide 12 volt Battery.

Both these cells have been dismantled for inspection and in both cases the plates are buckled, causing a short circuit.

No ebonite separators are fitted and doubtless the absence of these elements may have some bearing upon the buckling of the plates.

We suggest the question of who pays for the repairs, be left in abeyance until the Chloride Co's., representative has had the opportunity of inspecting the cell.
