Dear Sir,
You will be interested in the sketches attached, showing a really new and scientifically designed silencer; you will see that while from the sound-deadening point of view it is better than standard silencers using baffle-plates, the important advantage of this new development is the elimination of back pressure, with the consequent great improvement in the performance of the engine.
Actual extensive tests have shown this to be 15% to 25% on acceleration and power, as well as speed, on well known cars.
The application of the principle to the exhaust manifold opens great possibilities.
The construction of these silencers is quite simple and inexpensive, and if you are interested and would like to experiment, and will supply us with the necessary data, we will send you constructional drawings suitable for your needs.
We are authorised to negotiate licenses throughout the British Empire.
We should like to point out also, that this silencer is very suitable for aeroplanes, as it does not interfere with the efficiency of the engine, while it provides silence, for
