Dear Mr. Cowen, With reference to my call upon you this morning re your request of November 27th. I beg to confirm, as I told you this morning, that my Company were not in a position to guarantee the balance of our tyres to a certain number of ounces, as suggested by you, and that we considered we were more accurate in this respect than any other Tyre Maker. So far as fitting the valve on the opposite side of the tube to the join, we might be prepared to do this, but my Company would not care to do so, except it was absolutely insisted upon by yourselves, because there are certain objections to same. As, for instance, in the case where a new valve has to be fitted it becomes necessary to fit a new valve seating, and it would be very difficult to do this, where the valve is so far away from the join, but if you insisted upon this, we should have to have a specification | ||
