E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 1/30-v Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}14/R.7.6.37. While at K.{Mr Kilner} last week KC. drew our attention to a few points needing design investigation, and not mentioned in his memo to you. They are:- (1) It is impossible to tighten the nuts securing the steering box to the frame with either a box or jaw spanner. (2) It is very difficult to tighten the lock nut on the S.U. Carburetter idling adjustment. Chauffeurs alter the adjustment, after which it never "stays put". Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
