which is at present held up in a very incomplete state for the second marine engine). It seems such a pity to scrap so much work on 2004 without obtaining any information from the tests of same.
The question of testing the worm axle with standard engine has been raised several times previously.
If we allow 2004 to be completed and start afresh on another chassis, the work entailed will be no more than if we started to alter chassis 2004, and we should have the advantage of being able to test the worm axle under rather lighter loads than those obtained with our standard engine.
