W/P - Sr. L401 3 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KW.30.11.34. Many thanks for Sr.2/Crn.27.11.34. Please write to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} giving him your opinion of the bumper bar, and pointing out that you require this for your two chassis. I do not want the small bumper bar or cross member back for the time being if they will keep the customer happy until you get the correct parts. I think that as the Works have got to make the cross members it will be some little time before they are available. If I were you I should go for the bumper bars and forget about the cross members until they become standard. You will get 80% of the result with the bumper bar. With regard to the "Rena Stella" Sports Renault, as we have never seen a Renault car other than the 9-litre which showed any signs of animation, we should be interested to know the specification of this particular vehicle, because we should hate to be beaten by this if it was competing on equal terms!
