RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to SFB. FB. EFC. W.R. X. 4384. BY/WERL/EF4. 3. 22. EXPERIMENTAL X. 4384 - "GOSHAWK" 11. R.R.DESIGN OF STARTER MOTOR. FRAME AND FIELD WINDING - SECTION 8030. All the Starter Motors which you have produced up to the present have had the Field Winding made to I.O.P. D.50273. This has 5 3/4 turns per pole. EFC. states that the Resistance of this field is too high and wishes to have a motor for testing purposes wound with a field winding of 4 1/2 turns per pole of the same section wire as before and we have made a drawing shewing the new winding. Please receive herewith one blue print of D.50705. If you propose making up another motor then this new Field Winding and the Armature wound with .085 wire instead of .080 ought to be assembled together as one complete motor. BY/WER. WER | ||
