11) Seizure of hand brake shaft outer bearing.
Handwritten: DIXON (crossed out)
Handwritten: out Bearing now Covered on.
A dirt excluding felt washer is required.

12) Impact on full bump.

The front buffers should not only be softer, but also longer to prevent the spring coils going choc. The tension shackles should improve matters at the rear.

13) Instrument lamp dimmer switch.

This now only makes intermittent contact.
The same trouble occurred with the rheostat on the last 15,000 miles test. The design is not suitable for the job.

14) Main oil pipe rubbed by cross steering tube.
Handwritten: Swift (crossed out)
This is a feature of the new geometry levers and requires correcting if not already done.

15) V.G.90 linings for brakes.
Handwritten: Noted
Handwritten: DIXON (crossed out)
These are very good for not squeaking and are recommended in preference to the BZ/RU combination. A higher output from the servo is required to obtain a reasonable pedal pressure and sufficient front braking with the latest leverages and these linings.

The BZ/RU gave lighter brakes but squeaked and also tore the drums up. No more judders have been experienced since modifying the bakelite washer and making the servo watertight by means of pink adhesive tape.
