STANDARDISATION TESTS IN FRANCE.

With reference to your query re the trouble being experienced on the shock absorbers on the cars in France. The rear shock absorbers are the type we have always used, and as far as we can ascertain the leaks experienced are due to slight modifications in methods of production which have now been rectified. The front shock absorbers are of the B.V. type which is a new design.

We believe that the trouble will disappear when we have improved our technique of keeping the shock absorber perfectly clean when it is manufactured.

We are not having a great deal of trouble with the shock absorbers on the experimental cars running at Derby.
