SHOCK ABSORBER. X4329 Please receive N.sch. 1251 shewing the modifications proposed to the front shock absorber in order to obtain in the first case a more flexible spring, and in the second case a spring which will give a load of roughly 35 lbs. without being overstressed. It will be seen that we propose that the hole in the side channel which is already there should be slightly increased and the spring should protrude through it. This will help to make the bolt head accessible. It will be also observed that the aluminium base has been slightly increased and the central boss modified to suit the new arrangement. We have also provided on the bolt a stop which prevents the spring being bolted up choc-a-bloc. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
