GOSHAWK 11. WHEELS ON RUNNING BOARDS. X3599 X3730

We send you herewith N.sch. 1249 showing a scheme for a carrier supporting the wheel on the running boards, designed on the same lines as the carrier at the rear.

The scheme is drawn for Dunlop wheels and the various slight changes for both Michelin disc and Rudge-Whitworth wheels are indicated. Would you please make schemes of these. We presume that either one or the other of the wire wheels, possibly Dunlop, will become standard, and customers requiring disc or Rudge-Whitworth wheels may be charged extra to cover the cost of the special parts entailed, (new bracket on frame and tube.)

The position of the carrier is governed by the front door and we shall shortly send you a sketch showing the carrier on both an open and closed car, together with the necessary information to be given on the coachwork point.

Should we ever reach the stage of supplying standard wings, we will send you the modified drawings but at present all we need to make is the carrier, and the new step-iron.

Will Derby please send 2 prints of this scheme in order that we may send one to London for their comments.
