To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Re. my report on Ph.III. Brake Rod. I examined several chassis at Lillie Hall and on these there was no sign of the pull rod fouling. At Cricklewood where I again examined three cars the rod was fouling. On one, the front apron was off so I took the opportunity to find under what condition the foul took place. The setting of the equalizer in the central position brings the pull rod to the back edge of the slot, and as stated in some cases makes it foul. With the central lever either side the centre the pull rod through the frame is central in the slot provided for it. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W.
