Typed text: -2- (5) There is a general opinion in the Depots against the use of aluminium washers for joints under plugs and banjos of every description. The plugs have to be over tightened to make a tight joint. Other manufacturers who do not use fibre washers, use copper asbestos washers which do not require over tightening, and do not tear up when taken apart.
