For the attention of Mr R Stevens

Dear Sirs,

We wish to confirm our telephone conversation of this afternoon when it was agreed that your revised proposal sent to Mr Blatchley on 5th July 1965, reducing the overall depth of the car illumination panel from 3" to 2" is acceptable, except that the stainless steel surround would require to be 1/8" larger all round to accommodate the headlining which will be tacked to the wooden frame.

It was also arranged that you will make the illumination panel complete, with the stainless steel surround, perspex, tube and electrical connections together with 6 yards of flex. The stainless steel surround, perspex and tube will then be dismantled and the wooden frame with 6 yards of flex attached will be sent to Crewe as soon as possible, for fitting to the body, and you were confident this would be before the end of August. We are very anxious to receive the frame as obviously this will require fitting to the body at a very early stage, any time you can save will help us considerably and when it is despatched will you please arrange to have this marked for my attention.

Early in October I will advise you when the car will be available in Earls Court for you to complete the installation.

Many thanks for your co-operation.

Yours faithfully,
For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
