X5310 To Hdy.{William Hardy} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}1/KT. 26.8.32. REVERSE GEAR 20/25 Replying to Hdy{William Hardy}2/M22.8.32, this test was carried out with the former narrow gears and a travel of .975 We have not tried the wider gears as the first test was satisfactory. The gearbox was assembled to GL.{G. Linnett}591, to do which both the 25 tooth gear on N.sch.3492 and the synchromesh operating sleeve, had to be reduced in diameter to avoid their fouling. We are therefore altering the diameter of the gear wheels as shown on GL.{G. Linnett}599. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Prints attached. GL.{G. Linnett}591 GL.{G.
