With reference to your memo EFC6/T24.1.18, and standardisation sheet regarding Experiment 3250, Mr. Elliott and I think this is dangerous as the amount of metal inside the bolt is very small and I suggested this NS.{Norman Scott} material for the high Brinnell figure, spring tempered, such as used for good wood saws would do, but mild steel can be as soft as Swedish iron which would not do.
