1139. EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}3/JH. 2nd. September, 1938. British Filters Ltd., Aircraft House, Market Harborough. For the attention of Mr. Worth. Dear Sirs, Further to our letter of the 30th August, we would now like you to make and supply us with 3 filters to the enclosed arrangement EB.4170 with welded strap EB.4171. In other respects these should be similar to the model you recently submitted the only difference being the dimensions of the support strap which incidentally is unavoidable and including the items mentioned in our letter. (a) Transfer on the lid{A. J. Lidsey} to read "Change the element every 10,000 miles". (b) Inside of case to be left untreated. Two further points we have noticed on the sample submitted since writing you and which we should like correcting are - (a) Hexagon deeper than shown on our drawing. (b) When tightened down strap cocks over to one side. This fault seems to be that there is too much side clearance of the bridge ends in the case brackets and which we have marked on the enclosed drawing. We shall be pleased to receive a reply to our letter of the 30th. August, as soon as convenient, regarding the several points raised also quotation figures. Yours faithfully, | ||
