Dear Sirs, Your ref. Expl.Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/KT. Maybach Gear Box In reply to your letter of the 11th. inst. I beg to inform you that the Maybach Gearbox has undergone the severest tests under various conditions and I can safely say that it works without any shocks whatever. Even when changing down there is little indication that the gear ratio has been altered beyond the improved accelleration obtained.
