Thank you for your CWB1/GM6.12.27. In 1925 the Motor and Autocar published such an outrageous account of the Renault performance with a saloon body that we took the trouble to analyse the results in detail, sending them to PN.{Mr Northey} in our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG21.3.25.

The axle ratio on that car was 3.5 to 1. If your figure of 3.3 to 1 is correct the car should be doing 32 m.p.h. at 1000 r.p.m. about so that either the speedometer or rev. counter are about 25% out.

We are willing to wager that Seagraves Renault in touring trim with normal wings cannot lap Brooklands at 90 m.p.h. and should be _very_ surprised if it did so at 85 MPH. When the sports car is finished it might be interesting to compare the performance of the two on the track but the Renault is too heavy to be able to compare with 10-EX for acceleration. Would not Seagrave give you a lap time for his car when the track re-opens?
