The car appeared to be very stable and held the road remarkably well, particularly on corners, but the shock absorbers were very tight indeed and the riding in the back of the car was distinctly hard.

The back axle was quite good.

I should be glad to know whether you can tell me exactly what the back axle ratio of this car is and whether the figures given for speed and engine revolutions correspond reasonably well to this, as my own impression was, that the speedometer was reading distinctly fast, 80 m.p.h. on the speedometer did not seem to me to be much more than a good 65.

The car is undoubtedly a very great improvement on earlier models of the same type and if it would interest you at any time to have a good run in it from London I do not think there would be any difficulty at all in arranging for this.

The brakes were very good indeed and a very great improvement has been made in the servo which used to have a very bad groan whenever it was working. The only trouble appeared to be a certain amount of squeaking towards the end of the run.
