getting the carburetter to work accurately. I have also suggested that the upper fitting part of the piston is lengthened and the use of an air tight groove in such a way that the movement of this extra air valve will be slower than at present, so that it has a longer stroke and a more air tight piston to reduce its speed of lift, which seems necessary owing to the induction pipe carrying less petrol.

You will remember that the carburetter seemed to run off extra ordinarily weak just when the throttle was open.
X 4075 Mr. Thacker is sending a diagram of the wiring for this Goshawk switch, which is of the same pattern as what we all thought so good on the Marmon. The switch will follow in the course of a few days. This last has been adapted for our special requirements and includes the connection socket for ~~our~~ the inspection lamp and the press button for the dashboard light.

The arrangement for the instruments on the instrument board will also be sent you by Mr. Evernden, we hope tomorrow.

The ends of this cross tube have at present very puny bolts, but these are to be cancelled and more substantial ones fitted carrying at the same time the splasher iron to which the head lamps and side lamps are fitted. This design should be in the hands of Mr. Bailey.

Other fittings are carried by cross member and engine suspension bolts so as to economise material and the number of
