X8830 -> Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}...from C. Secret CLO/C5.9.24. (Copy to R.{Sir Henry Royce} CJ. BJ. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} We understand from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}, following his visit to Derby yesterday, that he has arranged with you to give us a dummy chassis of EAC.II. in three weeks, so that we may fit to it the sports body which we are having specially constructed, this dummy chassis to be in accordance with Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s discussion with you yesterday. Sales understand that this will be in every way a duplicate of the eventual EAC.II chassis from the coachbuilding and exterior points of view. WW. will, within the next few days, supply particulars of the outstanding sections. We have already put this suggestion before CJ., who has agreed to our proceeding accordingly instead of making any further "mock-ups" of bonnets and radiators. C. | ||
