Re: Experimental Modified exhaust Manifolds.

Please excuse us for not having replied to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LID.{A. J. Lidsey}1/MA.4.4.32 earlier, as we did not have much information to offer, we thought it would be better to write at a later date in the hope of having some useful information to communicate.

We saw Mr. Dubonnet's chauffeur a few days ago, the car has been driven from Nice to Paris, the Manifolds fitted are O.K

On all the other cars on which we have fitted the above type of Manifolds same are undoubtedly giving satisfaction otherwise we should have heard from the various owners.

Concerning the third paragraph of your memo and referring to our memo Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/VA26/RC.{R. Childs}10.3.32 we made an error, for which we regret, in stating that we fitted the ribbed type of Manifold to chassis GA-62, the sliding joint type was actually fitted.

We telephoned the chauffeur today, who informed us that the pipe was O.K., however the car has only covered 2,000 KMS since we fitted same, the car is now in the Coachbuilders hands.

Our big difficulty has been to find a 20 HP.car that we could keep in touch with and one that we know would do long journeys at high speeds.
