Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Limited, 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. CONFIDENTIAL. Dear Sirs, We have mounted the body for 1.B.5. and have to make the following observations:- (1) The shape of the body at the back of the bonnet does not appear to agree with the dimensions for the bonnet, given on our FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}4. The error is in the width of the scuttle, which appears to be approximately .250" too narrow each side. We suggest that you check over your projected shape for the back end of the bonnet from the dimensions which we have given to you on the drawing, but it may be that the error has occurred in the panelling. On the All-Steel body there is no framing in the scuttle at this section, and we would like to know whether you provide in the framed body, a plywood template, over which the panel beater has to turn the scuttle panel. We think that this appears to be an essential procedure. (2) The body bottom sides, the front ends foul the dash brackets, we suggest that dummy dash brackets be put on the dummy chassis and a clearance of at least ¼" be left between the outer face of these brackets and the inner face of the body bottom sides.
