X1110 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.27/KW. 21st November,1935. The Borg & Beck Company Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa; For the attention of Mr. Barker. Dear Sirs, On your drawing SK.30604/2, you show the maximum permissible backward movement of the trunnion to accommodate lining wear to be 9/16". It appears to us that we can allow a greater amount of wear than is permitted by this figure and wish to do so if possible. Will you please let us know the maximum amount of accommodation which you would be agreeable to. We realise of course that the housing behind the trunnion will have to be modified to permit the greater movement We are much obliged for the information given in your letter of yesterday's date. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
